Funchal’s Marathon is one of the most important athletics event of the city and attracts several hundreds of athletes, some of which are worldwide references of this sport. This event is divided in 3 races: Marathon (42.195 m), Half Marathon (21.097,50 m) and Mini Marathon (8.830 m), and there are participants from over 51 countries joining the race. It’s a great and completely different way to experience a local event, exercising and getting to know the archipelago’s capital – Funchal.
